What Is This Meditation About?

Universal Meditation is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. Unlike other meditation practices, which originate from a certain meditation school or religious background, this meditation is a non-denominational meditation that provides a method for all people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, culture, education, religion, etc.

How Is This Meditation Different From Other Types Of Meditation?

Most techniques allow people to feel temporary relief from their burdens, but as they go back to normal life, their mind also go back to its normal state. Meditation is not about suppressing the mind. We will teach you how to discard the root cause of your pain and burden through our guided meditation method. This will allow you to see countless changes in your mental and emotional state.

Do People Who Don't Normally Have Stress Need To Meditate?

Even though you’re comfortable, time to time you feel anxiety and difficulties. That’s because things don’t work out according to your plans and that’s life. Think about the moments you were comfortable and happy. Did you feel nervous because you thought this happiness could disappear? Did you worry about the future of your family? You are not always comfortable and happy even if you live a good life. That’s because all people are tied to their minds and living life. Doubts and fear of life disappear when you empty your mind and find your true self. Finding your true self – all people who are living need to do this meditation.

I'm An Introvert And Have A Fear Of Social Interactions. Will I Have Trouble Adapting To The Environment If I Go To Meditate Alone?

You don’t need to worry about that. In fact, we suggest to students not to talk with each other because the goal isn’t to socialize, it’s the time for self-reflection. Through the meditation, you can find the cause of your fear of social interactions and you can break free from it when you throw away the root of that mind.

Is It Possible To Meditate By Myself At Home?

This meditation is simple, but it’s very difficult to make progress by yourself because you need to be guided to follow the scientific and systematic method. You need to be taught at school when you want to study academics or learn techniques, and it’s the same case with meditation. Although the meditation method is simple, the benefits come out when you practice by following the instructor, then you will be able confirm the benefits for yourself.

How Often Should I Meditate?

As much as you can. Most people meditate between 45 minutes and 1 and half hours per day. Some people come 2-4 times a week and sometimes even once a week. Still, they make progress as long as they come consistently. There are also people who meditate intensively, who stay many hours, or even all day long to meditate; they can feel more benefits, more quickly.

Will I lose my memory if I throw away the pictures that are stored in my brain?

No, it is impossible to lose your memory. You will simply no longer be controlled by the memories. The burden, attachment, and suffering that are stored in the memories will vanish. Once you're free of them you'll understand yourself and your life more clearly. As you throw away the pictures in this meditation practice, your ego, or false self, will disappear and you will be able to recover the true self.

How can I throw it away if I can't stop thinking about something?

The best thing to do is to schedule a 1-on-1 meditation class with an experienced meditation guide. We can help you to understand and overcome that mental burden.

What is the difference between 1-on-1 and group sessions?

Both have their benefits. Customized 1-on-1 sessions offer personal support. Having a private guide for every single session allows one to better understand his or herself and conquer their deeper issues. Group meditation can bring a greater sense of motivation, focus, and connection. In addition, group settings inevitably give rise to environmental disturbances which offer the meditator a chance to overcome whatever distractions or irritations that may be in their mind.

What do you mean? "Throwing away" and, "letting go"?

The best way to know is through actual practice. The body is a recording device that stores everything into one's mind. Within those stored memories are countless thoughts and emotions. So through guided meditation, you can release the pictures and corresponding thoughts and emotions.

Can kids meditate?

Absolutely! Kids can understand and practice this method very well. Kids can start as early as 9 years old. As they follow this method, they feel a lot of benefits and find it just as rewarding as adults.
